went here for our anniversary dinner last week and the waiter was really rude and seemed like he couldn’t be bothered by us.:( when we first got there we said we were going to start by putting in our drinks and a starter then we said what drinks we wanted and without even saying a word he just walks off. sat down the drinks n took off again without asking what we were getting for our starter. then at the end of the meal he just took our plates and put the bill on the table without even saying a word or asking us if we wanted anything else. the other lady who got us water was very nice, wish she was our waitress. food was okay.
Nikki was the first part of our great experience at this restaurant. So helpful and an awesome positive attitude! The rest of the staff is equally pleasant and made us want to return!

Caroline was a wonderful server and the food was delicious! We’re Lake Placid locals and we’ve decided this will be a new family tradition… walk Main Street the week before Christmas and stop at Dancing Bears for hot cocoa and some yummy food! My wife and I ate here our first night in Lake Placid. We ordered the chef’s board, crab cake, wings, and the NY strip. The chef’s board was excellent, good variety of meats and cheeses but the olives were quite salty. For upstate NY, the crab cakes were astoundingly flavorful and tender. This is a must order if you enjoy seafood. The steak is a pass, the flavor profile was off. The wings were crispy and saucy and delicious. All portions were a good size and definitely shareable. We also got the hot cider drink and a cranberry mule which were both pretty good. Beautiful window overlooking Main St. comfortable atmosphere.
